Griffith Park (CA) Fire Reclmation Project- 9/24/07  It took over 150 firefighters to extinguish the blaze that kept Hollywood revelers on the edges of their movie seats; The Hollywood sign was in jeopardy of burning down in May 2007.  After the smoke had cleared, 800 acres had burned; Governor Arnold Swarzenegger declared the restoration of this area "top priority".  Watersaver erosion & sediment control products were chosen for application by land and by helicopter to help re-establish vegetation in this damaged area.  Watersaver is proud to be affiliated with the reclamation of this stroried landmark. http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=local&id=5705053

 Watersaver project wins prestigious award - 6/20/07  The Bay Club at Mattapoisett (Mass.) met the stringent qualifications to be designated an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It now becomes one of only 66 golf courses worldwide and the only one in Massachusetts to earn the elite Silver designation. Silver Signature certification recognizes a golf club’s commitment to such requirements as habitat enhancement and wildlife conservation as well as the efficiency of water and energy use.  Audubon International, a not-for-profit organization, is dedicated to encouraging individuals and groups to take personal responsibility to preserve the environment. One of its key missions is to promote the enhancement of the natural areas and wildlife habitats that golf courses provide. The organization works closely with all types of new land developments, and for its Silver Sanctuary program, developments which feature both golf and other amenities as well as individual residences.

Eagle Award Winner - 6/1/2007  Since 1984, Watersaver has recognized one employee each year that shows "...commitment to excellence, top performance, and dedication to be the best" - we call that person our Eagle Award Winner. 20,000 fans appreciated a 4 - 1 drubbing of the San Jose Sharks that day to take a 3 games to 1 lead in the race for the Cup.  Lee takes credit for the smooth ice leading his beloved Red Wings to victory.
